5th-12th Band
I will provide instruction on a specific band instrument to students who wish to further their music literacy ability.
The instruction will be individualized for each student's needs (for example: a 5th grade student would work on
note names, rhythms, music theory, tone while an 11th grader would work on advanced rhythms, complex
music, advanced music theory, breathing, tone with their instrument, and solos/duets). Although not limited to
these things, I would start where the student is at musically and progress through many concepts. I may
incorporate the use of student chromebooks for research and learning purposes with the State and national
music standards in mind. I will provide extra materials such as a music folder, sheet music, added music
exercises, solos, and a stand, if needed. (and water) I would be willing to tutor beginning, intermediate, and
advanced students.
